[…] An emotionally intense and dreamlike journey experienced under the all but threatening shadow of death, the absence that gives meaning to what we have present.

The game

The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.

Eutopia

The stories of the Earth have changed in nature and scale: we do not write stories to tell about the creation or the course of the world, but to avert its end.

Book is a Book is a Book

Ts'ui Pen must have said once: I am withdrawing to write a book. And another time: I am withdrawing to construct a labyrinth. Every one imagined two works; to no one did it occurred that the book and the maze were one and the same thing.

Estado vegetal

Trickster-p — Projects — Estado vegetal

Launched in spring 2021 by LAC Lugano, the project Lingua Madre investigates topics related to language in its wider sense through video, audio and textual productions. In this framework Cristina Galbiati has been invited to create an audio version of the play Estado vegetal in which Manuela Infante – one of the most compelling voices of the contemporary South American dramaturgy – engages with the thought of the philosopher Michael Marder and the plant neurobiologist Stefano Mancuso to propose a radical change of perspective that reverses the anthropocentric logic, putting plants at the centre, along with their intelligence and their complex communication system. The version created by Cristina Galbiati invites the audience to immerse themselves in nature for a listening experience in which the relation between time, movement and stasis becomes crucial.
